It was a great stay casita maria at playa caribe condos has everything you need for a great vacation stay the staff is wonderful and very helpful with all your needs.theres no veiw of the ocean but your only steps away it was very quiet and relaxing we would give it 5 stars.

We stayed at Casita Maria due to budget. Next time an ocean view. Well kept property walkable to town. Don't take taxi's, colectivo is safe, cheap and fast for Tulum or Playa del Carmem adventures.

The room was perfect! Everything we needed was supplied in the kitchen and even some treats and coffee were bought for us. The A/C worked great and it was very comfortable. The service was very good and everything we asked about was communicated perfectly. We will definitely stay again. Hopefully next time up on a higher floor to see the beautiful views. The pool area was clean and water was perfect.

We have been to Akumal many times and love it. This was our first stay at Playa Caribe. Studio Maria is clean nicely decorated. The dehumidifier was greatly appreciated. Plenty of dishes, utensils & serving pieces in the kitchen. The beds are very firm. Studios are on the back side of the building facing the road with only 2 windows ( Kitchen door w/blinds and bathroom which also has a glass frosted door). The lights from the property shined in all night long so if you like to sleep in complete dark good luck. We didn’t hear any traffic noise. The property & beach was
clean. Pool is nice overlooking the ocean however I had to clean it with the skimmer when we used it. Plenty of pool floaties on hand. In my
opinion the pool lights should to be kept on after dark for safety purposes. Beach is somewhat rocky so water shoes are advised. My husband saw sea turtles, various rays & more while snorkeling in front of the condos. The security guard (Daniel) didn’t do much except set in front of his laptop or sleep in one of the beach loungers instead of walking the grounds with a flash light. The housekeeping service was excellent! Glenn & Barb who own & are residents in Studio Annette were amazing. So very friendly and helpful.
All in all it was a very enjoyable stay and we would return to Playa Caribe.

Two downsides: no window except the door and a humidity smell.

We had a wonderful time! I am a teacher and I spent my spring break at the condo. I love that it is on the beach and has a private pool. The room was clean and everyone was very friendly.

I love my condo building, my casita, my friends and every moment I am blessed to be in Akumal Mexico. My casita is perfect and perfectly located. Everything is within walking distance and the options are only limited by what you chose to ask for, or not.

It was perfect for what we needed.

We loved our stay here. As described. The property is VERY well maintained. The kitchen has everything you need....quite impressive fro such a small space!

The people are wonderful. The place is sweet but there are no windows. That would normally be a deal breaker for me. Some people may not care. Outdoor spaces are terrific so I tried to be outside all the time. Otherwise casita is well decorated and has everything and is really well run.

Everything you need is already supplied!! Daily maid service if you want. Beach is very close. Just turn lef out of the door and go up the stairs. Right there!! Pool was clean and plenty of chairs on the beach. Highly recommend!!

Clean, comfortable, great base for a wonderful trip to Akumal and Tulum!

We are so happy we were able to stay at Casita Maria! It was so charming, and the location was unbelievable! Right on the beach in Half Moon Bay! Beautiful, and great snorkeling too. We saw stingrays, turtles, and a lot of fish! We loved it! And there was no sargassum. The beach was perfect!!!For the price, this little gem is fantastic! It's not huge... it's like a hotel room with a bonus kitchen. Everything worked great, and it was nice and clean. Patricia did a wonderful job cleaning our room each day. Augustin was very nice, although we didn't talk to him much because we didn't have any issues. I definitely recommend a stay at charming little Casita Maria! Oh, and don't forget to use the dehumidifier in the corner of the room. It made a huge difference (we didn't realize it was there until halfway through our trip). Absolutely loved staying here. Steps from a swimmable ocean. Pool overlooking the ocean. And we felt like we had the whole outside area to ourselves. We will be back!

Casita Maria is a great place for a quiet getaway. The unit is private, but only a short walk from the pool. Chris & Polly were very quick to answer all of my questions about the casita. The unit had all the supplies I needed, including a cooler that I used for a day trip. There's a great restaurant just down the street and a convenience store just across the way. I had a rental car and the building has plenty of reserved parking.

We enjoyed our long weekend in Akumal at Casita Maria! Location is perfect for exploring - walkable to all restaurants and activities. Having access to the pool was perfect. The Casita has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The air conditioning unit is amazing. The bathroom is nicely updated and has plenty of space. We have a close friend that lives in the area year round and we will be back to visit and plan to stay at Casita Maria in the future. Perfect Stay!

We just spent 4 nights at this Casita. It's very clean and well maintained. Close proximity to a small store that has all essentials and a nice snorkel shop. Also very close to La Buena Vida, a great little restaurant/beach hangout. The kitchenette is well-stocked, the pool is nice, and the staff at Playa Caribe is very friendly. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is due to THE SEAWEED. There are literally 3 foot mounds of SEAWEED on the beach all along Half Moon Bay. It's especially bad directly in front of the complex in which this casita is located (Playa Caribe). Playa Caribe's beach is basically the width of a beach lounger plus about two feet of sand - and then massive amounts of SEAWEED block your entrance to the ocean. I realize this is not within the control of the owners and that there are people working to remove the seaweed from the beach almost every day. We also still really enjoyed our stay. However, I just wish I had known about the seaweed prior to booking this place. It really is pretty overwhelming. You are still able to walk down the beach either direction and access the water, but had it been crowded, we would have been stuck in lounge chairs with our feet about two feet from the mounds of seaweed. It's kind of sad. Otherwise, this is an absolutely top notch little getaway.

This is our second time at Casita Maria in Akumal, and we couldn't be more satisfied. The room is like a hotel room with an additional small kitchen, but the real selling point of this place is the pool which is right on the bay. The service is great, the room is clean, and there's a newly renovated bathroom. For the price, it's hard to beat this little place.

We always vrbo when we travel and have stayed in many places but I have to say that Playa Caribe has the best and most responsive management of anywhere we have stayed. Augustin will help you figure out anything you need or have questions about.It is a very well kept condo complex and Casita Maria was spotless and welcoming.My husband, daughter and I stayed and while staying in a studio can be a bit confining the fact is that we never ate inside once. We made meals and ate them all out on the deck by the pool looking at half moon bay.Half Moon bay and Akumal Bay are great place to be introduced to snorkeling. We are divers but our 10 year old snorkeled for the first time and saw turtles, fish everything. What a great first experience.Akumal is easy and safe to walk and bike everywhere. Great family vacay. It fit the bill for us

We really enjoyed our stay at Casita Maria. Very clean, comfortable beds and a good location, about 15 minute walk to town. Nice to have a small grocery store across the street. Augusta, the front desk Manager was very helpful. Yal Ku is walking distance and we would highly recommend a trip there if you like to snorkel, the sea was pretty rough in front of the complex during the time we were there. Great home base to explore the area.

We enjoyed the quiet, cozy atmosphere of your condo. The kitchen was nicely stocked with good appliances and the staff was friendly and helpful. Agustin is a very good and responsive manager. Thank you, we had a wonderful stay.
